MUSIC - For many years, I played music in the bars of New Orleans.  My instrument was bass (upright & electric).  I performed many different genres (Cajun, Roots Rock, Funk, Jazz, Country, Blues etc…).  It was a great way to sharpen my chops & learn how to be a gigging musician.  I had a bass in my hands every day. In the late 1990's I met Alex Chilton (name-drop).  This encounter prodded me to focus on songwriting. Over the years, I have filled notebooks with songs. Some I have even recorded.  In 2017, I decided to pick up the bagpipes.  I have taken part in funerals, weddings and marched in Mardi Gras parades with my pipes.  I recorded 2 tracks on bagpipes improvising with a great rock / jazz trio called A.C.E.  Check out my music page:

I have been doodling as long as I can remember.  I started painting a bit in college and kept doing it after graduation.  I wasn't very good or serious but I really enjoyed it.  Hurricane Katrina (2005) destroyed all the paintings I had made up to that point.  I took this as a sign and didn't paint for many years.  It wasn't until the COVID-19 pandemic that I got back into it.  I was stuck at home and had some watercolors & paper.  This time around I threw myself into painting.  I was lucky enough to study with Alan Flattmann then Michael J.
